Born from the “Climate Chats and Chips” workshop, The Renter’s Booklet is a community-driven guide designed to help renters boost their homes’ energy efficiency with low-cost, practical solutions. Drawing on real-life insights shared by renters, it offers accessible, step-by-step DIY solutions for common issues like drafts, dampness, and mould.
The booklet features hand-drawn illustrations from participants and is designed to be printed from any home printer for easy distribution!
Public Testing
At community events like “BuzzFest” in Phibsboro, booklets were tested using both informal conversations and structured interviews. Renters showed particular interest in the “mould recipe” and valued the peer-resourced, actionable tips grounded in real-life experiences.
